WARREN - Dr. Vijay B. Behari, 79, peacefully passed away at his home on February 2, 2024.

Born on September 14, 1944, in Agra, India, Dr. Behari led a remarkable life dedicated to the field of medicine and touched the lives of countless individuals through his compassionate care.

In 1967, Dr. Behari immigrated to the United States from India. He pursued his medical training in Cleveland, Ohio and soon established himself as a prominent figure in the medical community. With unwavering dedication and a commitment to excellence, Dr. Behari founded his cardiology practice in Warren in 1976.

Over the course of his illustrious career spanning an impressive 46 years, Dr. Behari made immeasurable contributions to the field of cardiology. His expertise and skill were renowned throughout the region, earning him the respect and admiration of both colleagues and patients alike.

During his spare time, he enjoyed painting and took great pleasure in exploring different corners of the world through his travels.

Dr. Behari was a devoted family man and is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Rama Behari; his children, Ajay (Aparna) Behari and Priya Behari (Nirav Desai); grandchildren, Rishi, Neel, Asha, Sahana; his sister, Prabha (Harish) Mathur of India, and a vast extended family of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

Funeral services were held to honor and celebrate the life of Dr. Vijay B. Behari on February 4, 2024, at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel
