Leo Geisler

March 25, 1943 — April 23, 2016

POLAND - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church, celebrated by the Rev. Msgr. William Connell, preceded by a 9:20 a.m. prayer service at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, for Mr. Leo J. Geisler, 73, who died Saturday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

Mr. Geisler was born on March 25, 1943, in Butler, Pa., son of Leo and Frances Geisler, and was a longtime resident of Butler, before relocating to the Youngstown area after high school.

Leo graduated from Butler High School, and before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He later graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor's degree.

Leo was self-employed for over 45 years as an insurance agent for Geisler Insurance.

He was an avid golfer, racquetball player and a Steelers fan. His greatest joy was his family, especially his two grandchildren.

Leo was a proud member of Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity and maintained strong relationships with his brothers who meant the world to him.

Leo leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, the former Patricia "Patty" Duncan, whom he married on Nov. 12, 1977; two sons, Ronald (Kimberly) Nanosky of Boardman and Jim (Jennifer) Geisler of Powell; sister Frances (Adolph) Scialabba of New Castle, Pa.; two grandchildren Ava and Anthony Geisler; and five nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will take place at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
