Joann Trebus

July 8, 1935 — March 10, 2019

YOUNGSTOWN - Joann Trebus, 83, died Sunday morning at Canfield Healthcare
Center, surrounded her loving family.
Joann was born July 8, 1935, in Punxsutawney, Pa., the daughter of Rolland
and Signe (Seaburg) Ellinger.
She was a graduate of South High School and later worked for Warren General
Hospital as a registered nurse for over twenty years.
She was an excellent craftsperson, specializing in woodcrafts and crochet.
She won several awards at the Canfield Fair for her crochet work.
Joann enjoyed living in Florida for six months out of the year for the past
20 years. She was a passionate Cleveland Indians fan and loved going to
their games. She also was an avid Elvis fan, she followed his life and his
career and visited his home in Graceland several times.
Joann is survived by her daughter, Pam (Gary Underwood) Getic of Austintown;
two sons, Martin (Diane) Trebus of Holliday, Fla., and Scott (Lisa) Trebus
of Tomball, Texas; five grandchildren, Thomas Getic, Jesse Getic, Alison
(Russ) Eastman, Michele Trebus, and Haley Trebus; five great-grandchildren;
two great-great-grandchildren; and two cats whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin Trebus, whom
she married Jan. 20, 1952, who died Nov. 26, 2016; and sisters Delores
McKenna, June Getch and Shirley Martinko.
Per Joann¹s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.

Joann and her husband will be laid to rest at the Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
Because of Joann¹s love for animals, the family has requested that material
tributes take the form of donations to Animal Charity, 4140 Market St.,
Boardman, OH 44512.
