Janet Dahman

CANFIELD - Eileen Boyle Dahman, 85, passed away early Sunday morning, Feb. 20, 2022, at Windsor House of Canfield.

She was born Jan. 5, 1937, in Campbell, the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Helen McEvoy Boyle.

Eileen was a 1955 graduate of South High School. She worked for Bell Telephone as a long-distance operator before devoting her time to her family and raising her children. She also worked for Dick Adgate's Florist and then retired from Crishal's Florist on Belmont. Eileen was an active member of St. Christine Church, where she was a member for more than 63 years. She volunteered in the church rectory following her retirement. Over the years, she was a member of the Garden Club, treasurer of the Burke Irish Stepdancers and was one of the original parents of Canfield Soccer. Eileen's greatest joy was her family and she made sure she attended all her grandchildrens' activities.

Eileen is survived by her husband of 63 years, James F. Dahman Sr., whom she married June 28, 1958; four children, James F. (Donna) Dahman of Canfield, John E. (Diahann) Dahman of Columbus, Robert M. (Sheri) Dahman of Fayetteville, N.C. and Margaret A. (Stephen) Haluska of Boardman; 13 grandchildren, Sarah (Michael) Carlos, James F. Dahman III, Paul J. Dahman, Kelly (Andrew) Haines, Melissa, Christopher, Claire, Cate, Jacob and Julia Dahman, and Joseph, Lillian and Jack Haluska; two great-grandchildren, Theresa J. and Killian J. Carlos; a brother, Hugh Robert Boyle of Cleveland; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Joseph F. Boyle Jr., Margaret "Pat" Kovach and Donna McHale; a niece, Kathleen Heck; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A private family Mass was held at St. Christine Church.
