Henry "Hank" Marsilio

April 22, 1958 ~ March 5, 2019 (age 60)

CANFIELD – Services will begin Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown, for Mr. Henry J. "Hank" Marsilio, who died early Tuesday morning at his residence.
Hank was born April 22,1958, in Youngstown, a son of Henry D. and Joan M. (Susko) Marsilio.
A 1976 graduate of Canfield High School, he was the founder and president of Eagle Mechanical, LLC. Hank was active in the South Range Baseball Association, South Range Music Boosters, Antique Car Club of America, and Mahoning Valley Railroad Heritage Association. He initiated the Whistle Toot in Youngstown and was nationally known for his work on steam engines and industrial steam equipment. A kind and gentle man, he always kept his word as his bond and, owing to this honesty and multitude of certifications in his field, had also been contracted to work on antique engines in various museums throughout the country. In 2001, he served as an expert witness concerning the steam tractor accident at the Medina County Fair. Many of his own steam engines were displayed in various fairs in the Midwest.
Hank was known for his zest for life, enjoying water- and snow skiing and scuba diving around the world, his favorite site being the South Pacific. Additionally, he enjoyed traveling, whether to a local baseball game or a national park. Whenever possible, he preferred to take his family in one of his vintage vehicles and talk to people about them. He loved working and living on his farm and regularly restored and enjoyed antique cars, tools, and machinery while listening to all kinds of music. Hank also took passion in building and racing go-karts, off-road vehicles, and motorcycles, even having worked with Don Garlits. Another of his great hobbies was capturing every memorable moment with his 35mm camera, which he kept, in his fashion, in lieu of modern alternatives.
Hank leaves his fiancée, Barb Warzynski; his parents, Henry and Joan Marsilio of Boardman; two sons, Anthony V. Marsilio of Dearborn, Mich. and David D. Marsilio of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and three brothers, Victor M. Marsilio of Austintown, Ronald M. Marsilio of Lake Wylie, S.C., and Michael J. Marsilio of Rocky River, Ohio.
Friends may call Friday from 3 until 8 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel at 4303 Mahoning Ave. in Austintown.
