CANFIELD — Zina A. Herrera, 60, died peacefully, Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born Nov. 1, 1963, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Raymond and Evelyn (Carrozzino) Dohar.
A graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School, Zina owned and operated Broad Street Diner, alongside her beloved husband, where she created everlasting relationships with people who loved her dearly. Her commitment to providing exceptional service endeared her to many in the community.
Outside of work and family life, Zina found solace in simple pleasures like shopping and casino outings. She was also a longtime member of St. Michael Church.
Her proudest accomplishments always revolved around her family. Zina’s heart overflowed with love for her husband, Richard Herrera, whom she married July 29, 1990. Zina’s children, Alexa (Antonio) D’Angona of Tallmadge, Gia Herrera of Canfield, Paige (Kyle) Kesner of Canfield, and Richard Herrera of Canfield, were the lights of her life. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to their happiness and well-being.
Nothing brought Zina more joy than being a grandmother. Her five grandchildren, Antonio, Ava, Meadow, Luciano and Ella held a special place in her heart that knew no bounds. She adored them beyond measure and treasured every moment spent with them.
Zina is also survived by her siblings, Jodi (Len) Pagnanelli of Parrish, Florida; Carl Dohar of Youngstown; and Lara (Todd) Walker of Melbourne, Florida.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Canfield.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
