Wayne C. Noday

YOUNGSTOWN — Wayne C. Noday passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the age of 74.

He was born on July 15, 1951, in Youngstown, a son of the late Alfred Carmen Noday and Isabel Mary Noday, née Rondinelli. 

Wayne graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1971 and went on to have a career as a relief man at General Motors. Wayne and his wife, Jan, owned Noday’s Bar for over 35 years. This September, they would have celebrated 55 years of marriage, and they have been best friends for 64 years.

In addition to his work, Wayne had a passion for refurbishing bicycles with his wife. He and Jan shared a deep compassion for animals, dedicating over 35 years to rescuing feral cats and finding them loving homes. ZAG, one of his rescue cats, was his best friend.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Janet Noday, nee Lamia; sons, Anthony Noday and Nickolas Noday; grandson, Dominick Noday; sisters, Debbie (Michael) Shurilla and Renee Notareschi, both of Poland; and brothers, Mark Noday and Ken (Jacque) Noday, both of Austintown. 

Funeral services were private.
