BOARDMAN — Virginia Ann Ayers, fondly known as Ginny, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, in her beloved hometown of Youngstown, where she was born on June 16, 1928.
She lived a life rich in warmth, kindness and dedication to her family and community. Ginny’s journey through life was marked by her passion and accomplishments. She attended Youngstown State University, where she was part of the Dana School of Music. Later, she was an operator of the restaurant in Sears, where her vibrant personality and commitment to excellence delighted many patrons over the years. In her personal life, Ginny found joy in simple pleasures. She loved playing bingo and visiting casinos, activities that added excitement to her days and created cherished memories with friends and family. Her proudest accomplishment was sharing her passion for music by teaching piano, leaving a musical legacy that resonated with many of her students.
She is survived by her siblings, Nancy (Paul) Sepjner and David Gale. Ginny was predeceased by her parents, William and Dorothy Miller Ayers, who instilled in her the values of hard work and compassion that she carried throughout her life. Ginny’s spirit will be lovingly remembered by her family and the many lives she touched. Her laughter and warmth will be deeply missed but cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.
There are no public services. Arrangements are by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
