AUSTINTOWN--Services will be Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Church for Veronica "Vern" A. Malandra age 81 of Lanterman Rd. who passed away Tuesday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Vern was born May 18, 1923, in Josephine, Pa., the daughter of George and Justina Merta Pollock. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Church, and enjoyed cross stitching, gardening, and cooking.
She is survived by her husband Patrick Malandra whom she married October 27, 1951, a son Charles Marcia Bezak of Munhall. Pa., four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son Carl Malandra, four sisters, Ann Chiappetta, Mary Hillbert, Madeline Wuychik, and Margaret Maucer, and seven brothers, George, Paul, Martin, Charles, Steve, Joseph, and Thomas Pollock.
Friends may call from 3 PM to 7 PM Friday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
