Tracy Jenkins

November 6, 1968 — July 18, 2021

YOUNGSTOWN — Tracy Thomas Jenkins, 52, continued her journey of life, with her passing on Sunday, July 18, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Her loss here on earth has brought all who loved her great sadness; however, we are comforted in knowing that we now have an ambassador in heaven. There, as we too make the similar journey, Tracy will be waiting with open arms to embrace us once again with her love. She may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

Tracy was born Nov. 6, 1968, the youngest daughter to Edward A. and Margaret A. Wolf Thomas.

Tracy had many talents, one was her wonderful eye for interior decorating. She could take four white walls and turn a room into a beautiful haven for all to enjoy with coordinating colors and meticulously selected decor. She was a wonderful cook and especially liked to make her famous chicken pockets for her kids.

Tracy also had an ability to light up a room. She was quick to make a joke or funny observation to ease tension, even in bad situations. She loved to see people happy and make them smile. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family. A trip to West Virginia staying in a cabin with family playing cards for money, or an intense game of CLR was among her greatest of joys. To the end, one important lesson Tracy taught us would be about the importance of family and keeping those who truly love you close.

In her short life here on earth, she bestowed two beautiful children, Mayson and Andrew, to carry on her legacy. In addition to her parents and children, Tracy is survived by Erick Jenkins and her siblings, Tammy (Joseph) Wycherley, Paul (Jill) Thomas, Ted Thomas and Terri (Steve) Shaver.

Tracy’s life was celebrated by a prayer service and rosary held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown, followed by a funeral Mass and rosary at Our Lady of Peace at Mount Olivet in Wheeling, W.Va. She was laid to rest next to her godson, Jack Wycherley, on Aug. 14, 2021, with a gravesite service officiated by the Rev. Joseph Mandokkara.

Tracy’s family would like to thank the Knights of Columbus Monsignor Mears Council No, 3930 for providing the rosaries for service and Mass.
