YOUNGSTOWN - Sheila Kroll-Dickinson died peacefully after a 15 year battle with cancer on September 2, 2026, at Hospice House.
She was born on August 21, 1959, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Ralph and Patricia McNulty Kroll.
Sheila attended Austintown Fitch High School. She worked in hospitality at the Holiday Inn and Denny's Restaurant. She was deeply passionate about community engagement. Sheila started "Pink Out of Mahoning Valley," a music festival honoring cancer survivors. Her dedication to uniting people for a purpose was a defining trait of her personality. She excelled at creating bonds between unfamiliar faces and devoted her time to numerous charitable efforts. She was a lover of music and proud of her Irish heritage.
Sheila is survived by her sisters, Brenda (Rick) Crawford of Austintown and Gail (Tim) King of New Mexico; her brothers, Brian Kroll of Clearwater, FL and Ralph (Kelly) Kroll of Rotonda, FL; several nieces and nephews; and her 7 feline children.
In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Dickinson; sisters, Laura Kroll and Maureen (Al) Barnhart; and sister in law, Darlene Kroll.
A funeral service will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel. Prior to the service, calling hours will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
