CANFIELD - Rudy Noday, 91, passed away peacefully Friday, November 14, 2025 at home surrounded by his family.
Born on November 5, 1934, in Youngstown, he was the son of the late Joseph and Genevieve Mast Noday.
Rudy proudly served as a veteran in the United States Marine Corps at Paris Island S.C. in the Fifth Battalion, an experience that he carried with him throughout his life. After his service, he returned to his roots and built a remarkable career as a barber at Rudy's Barber Shop, where he worked until the impressive age of 85. His dedication to his craft made him not only a skilled barber but also a cherished friend to many of his customers, who became integral parts of his life.
Rudy was a proud member of St. Michael Church, where he found joy in his faith. Outside of his barbering work, Rudy had a passion for golfing and bowling, participating in several area leagues that allowed him to engage with others and maintain an active lifestyle.
He leaves behind a loving family that includes his son, David (Margaret) Noday of Canfield; daughter, Lori Noday of Canfield; sister, Rita Maiorana of Boardman; five grandchildren: Nicole (Ryan) Marshall, Natalie (Zach) Larson, David N. Noday, Lauren (Scott) Phillips, and Anthony Santangelo; four great-grandchildren, Francesca, Savannah, Sophia, and Luciano, and step-great granddaughter, Moriah.
Rudy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara (Schettino) Noday, whom he married on January 18, 1958, and died December 4, 2022; siblings, Anthony Noday, William Noday, Eugene Noday, Louis Noday, Annie Otte, Mary Grace Wagner, and Elizabeth "Chickie" Noday.
Visitation will take place on November 18, 2025 from 4 to 7 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel. Prayers will begin November 19, 2025, at the funeral home, beginning at 9:15 AM, followed by a Mass at St. Michael Church at 10:00 AM.
