Roy Hale

October 21, 1951 — February 7, 2004

AUSTINTOWN-Memorial services will be Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Roy J. Hale age 52 of Austintown who passed away early Saturday morning at his home after a 2 year battle with
lung cancer. Roy was born October 28, 1951, in Chattanooga, Tenn., the son of James F. and Mary Ann Smith Hale. He was a 1969 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and received his Associate, and Bachelors degrees from East Tennessee State University. He had worked for the Norfolk Southern Railroad as a C & S Assistant Foreman for over 24 years before his illness. He was a member of the Austintown Baptist Church, and enjoyed travel, reading, and war gaming. He is survived by his wife Theresa whom he married in 1988, and his mother Mary Ann Hale of Chattanooga, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his father James F. Hale. He was a member and past president of the Brotherhood of Railroad signalmen local # 109
The family requests that material tributes take the form of donations to either Angels for Animals, or Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market Street Boardman,
Ohio 44512. Friends may call from 4 PM till the time of service at 7:00 PM Tuesday evening at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
