NEW MIDDLETOWN - Ronald G. Seman, 84, peacefully passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center.
Ron was born in Youngstown, Ohio, on February 13, 1941, to the late George Seman and Ann (Dudick) Seman. He attended Ursuline High School, graduating class of 1959.
Ron married the love of his life, Joanne P. Biastro, in May of 1967. They spent 50 loving years together, raising a beautiful family, traveling, and going to casinos. On their trips to different casinos, they would simply say they were “going for a ride.”
Ron worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube, where he spent most of his time there as a crane operator. Eventually, he retired early from LTV Steel. Later in life, Ron began working for Austintown Parks Department, where he eventually retired.
Ron enjoyed fishing, gardening, and partaking in the projected weather forecast for that day. He also enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams, The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, and the Cleveland Browns.
Ron leaves behind two loving daughters, Christine (Dr. Michael) Haggerty and Kimberly (Robert) Toth. He leaves behind a brother Jerome (Marylynn Bailey) Seman. There are also five grandchildren that will forever miss their "Poppy," Dr. Patrick (Stephanie) Haggerty, Kacey Haggerty, Mia Haggerty, Robert Toth, and Allison Toth. Ron also had several grand-dogs that he shared many loving times with, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Joanne. Though Joanne and Ron are together again, their presence will be deeply missed by their daughters and grandchildren.
Family and friends may call from 9:30am to 10:45am on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. Blaise Parish, located at 4490 Norquest Blvd, Austintown, OH, 44515. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am at the church.
The family would like to thank the staff at Masternick Memorial for their genuine care for Ron during his last seven months of his life.
Arrangements are entrusted to Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
