POLAND - Roberta L. Boston, 78, fondly known as "Bobbie," passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, at the Hospice House, surrounded by her beloved family.
She was born on September 21, 1947, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Robert Wallace "Scotty" and Lois Port Patton.
Bobbie began her career at JV McNicholas, where she started in data entry. With perseverance and commitment, she eventually retired from Brentwood Originals after several years of dedicated service. However, her favorite role remained that of a caregiver, finding true joy in spending time with her grandchildren.
A proud graduate of Poland Seminary High School in 1965, Bobbie furthered her education by earning an associate's degree in computer science. She was an artistic soul, though she would often downplay her talents, and she dedicated some of her time to volunteering as a candy striper in her younger years.
Family was at the heart of Bobbie's life. She was married to her loving husband, Lawrence "Larry" Boston, with whom she shared a bond since their marriage on May 2, 1981. Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Lori (Kevin) Carney of Poland; her son, Jim Boston of Struthers; her siblings, William (Sharon) Patton of Texas, Elizabeth Adcock of Poland, and Burl Patton of Boardman; her grandchildren, Christopher (Heavyn) Engles-Keller, Ariana Carney, and Holly Carney; and a great-grandson on the way.
Bobbie's unwavering love and dedication to her family defined her life. She cherished every moment spent with them, and her hobbies, including CB Radio and Amateur Radio, reflected her vibrant personality and passion for connection.
A visitation will be held on October 14, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home - Poland Chapel, located at 2726 Center Rd, Youngstown, OH 44514.
