Randall L. Dougherty, 73, passed away on January 20, 2024. 

Born on September 5, 1950, in New Wilmington, PA.

Randy's educational pursuits led him to graduate from NATTS Trade School. Equipped with his knowledge and determination, he embarked on a at Verizon Utility as an engineer. Throughout his professional journey, Randy dedicated himself wholeheartedly to his work.

However, it was not solely in his career that Randy showcased his indelible character. He had a remarkable personality that was defined by his selflessness and giving nature. 

In addition to his admirable qualities, Randy was an avid hunter. Additionally, until 2017, Randy gracefully glided across the ballroom floor as a dedicated ballroom dancer.

Randy cherished the relationships he cultivated over the years. Among his proudest accomplishments were his affiliations with various organizations. He actively participated in the 4 Mile Run Presbyterian Church as a dedicated member. His devotion extended beyond attendance; he also generously donated to the church and supported numerous missions. In 2006, he ventured to Mexico alongside fellow missionaries for a life-changing experience. The following year took him to Bali and then Peru in 2011—an incredible testament to his unwavering commitment to helping others.

Furthermore, Randy held memberships with the Britney Club in 1982 and the American Kennel Club starting in 1980—where he even achieved the title of field champion. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry L. Dougherty and Victoria Bates. 

Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Evelyn (Jim) Boots, dear friend, Vicki Porcase; and his children and grandchildren.

Because of Randy's loves for dogs, in lieu of flowers, material tributes may take the form of donations to New Lease On Life, 2773 East Midlothian Blvd., Struthers, Ohio 44471.

Randy was laid to rest at Fair Oaks Cemetery in New Wilmington, PA.
