Paul Nicholas

November 2, 1943 — March 10, 2024

POLAND - Paul Daniel Nicholas, 80, passed away on March 10, 2024.
Paul was born on November 2, 1943, in a Ukrainian household in Youngstown, the son of the
late Walter and Mary Nicholas, he was a lifelong area resident.
He enjoyed many things. Among them were Belleria pizza and wedding soup, eating poached
eggs and wheat toast at Thano’s restaurant, the TV show Cheers, watching classic Clint
Eastwood movies, running in Mill Creek Park, listening to talk radio (especially Dan Rivers),
visiting Iris and “the girls” at Key Bank, and above all, his beloved antiques. The highlight of
most days was collecting art and antique treasures. His genuine passion led him to sell and buy
at Burton Antique Show, Zoar Antiques & Artisan Show, Scott Antique Market, Fishersville
Antiques Expo, Brimfield Antique Show, and many others along the East Coast. He had a great
appreciation for beautiful things. He was a phenomenal antiques dealer who had a brilliant mind
of knowledge. The antique world, both dealers and clients, will miss him deeply.
Paul is survived by his two daughters, Kristina Nicholas of Poland, Ohio and Jennifer Simon of
Park City, Utah as well as his brother, Walter Nicholas, and sister, Sandra Shetler, both of
Poland.
Tremendous and heartfelt thanks go to the truly exceptional staff of Hospice of the Valley, who
