Patricia Joyce Boyce

Austintown - Private service were held for Patricia Joyce Boyce '83' of Austintown who passed away peacefully on Thursday. February 5, 2026, at Austinwoods Care Center, surrounded by loved ones. Patricia was born July 16, 1942, in Akron, the daughter of the late Wallace and June (Myers) Matthews and came to the area as a child.

She was a graduate of North Jackson High School, class of 1960, where she met the love of her life, Claude Boyce. Pat and Claude were married for 53 years before his passing on September 23, 2014. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Pat enjoyed cooking, gardening, scrapbooking and genealogy. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed yearly vacations to Canada, Myrtle Beach, and later on summer weekends at Leesville Lake with her friends at the campground.

Patricia leaves three children, Gary Boyce of North Jackson, Tammy Hrosch and her husband Paul of Thornville, and Steve Boyce and his wife Nancy of Canfield. She also leaves eight grandchildren, Ashley (Bojan) Stojmilovic, Chelsea (Tim) Stiffler, Rachel Boyce, Lauren (Tom) Jenkins, Shayla Fischer, Alyssa (Dyllon) Lafferty, Marlaina Hrosch and Deven Boyce. She leaves ten great grandsons, Max, Dominic, Bennett, Myles, Tyler, Mason, Ryan, Luke, Dawson, and Beau.
