Canfield - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday, July 11, 2026, for Nick J. D'Errico, 89, of Canfield, formerly of Austintown, who passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 28, 2026, with his beloved wife Doris by his side.

Nick was born on December 13, 1936, in Niles, Ohio, the son of Salvatore and Philomena (Julian) D'Errico and was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and worked as a draftsman, engineer and expeditor for Wean United until its closing. Following his retirement, Nick remained active through several part-time roles, with his favorite being a driver for C&V Plumbing. In retirement, Nick and Doris enjoyed the role of "snowbirds," spending their winters in Florida.

Nick proudly served in the United States Army in post-war Korea and was a member of the Korean War Veterans Post #137. He was a member of St. Michael's Church and a former 50-year member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, where he was very active in parish life and its organizations. Nick was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Msgr. Mears Council #3930, and a proud 4th Degree Knight with the Msgr. Lattau Assembly # 1296.

He was dedicated to the Boy Scouts of America, serving as treasurer of Troop 141 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for 18 years. Nick's hobbies included golf and fishing, and he was especially skilled at making lures and fishing flies. A proud reflection of his Italian heritage was Nick's passion for the game of bocce. He was an active member of the Breckenridge Southwest Florida League where he participated as both a player and referee.

Nick is survived by his devoted wife and of 66 years, Doris (Martin) D'Errico, whom he married February 20, 1960, at St. Patrick Church in Youngstown. Together they raised three sons: Samuel Mark D'Errico and his wife Nancy of Medina, Christopher J, D'Errico and his wife Deborah of Medina, and Nick D. D'Errico and his spouse Mark Owens, of Columbus. He also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren, Julianne, Jenna and Tessa.

In addition to his parents, Salvatore and Philomena, Nick was preceded in death by his brothers, Vincent and Salvatore Jr. and sister, Grace.

There are no calling hours before the 10 AM mass at St. Michael's Church on Saturday, July 11, 2026. A private committal will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Nick's memory to the Knights of Columbus, Msgr. Mears Council #3930 or the Msgr. Lattau Assembly # 1296, in care of St. Michael's Church 281Glenview Road, Canfield, Ohio 44406.
