POLAND — Nicholas Joseph Pupino Jr., 88, passed away peacefully, Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at Hospice House. He was surrounded by family for days leading up, and reunited with his wife, Marie, 43 days after her passing.
He was born June 23, 1937, in Youngstown, a son of Nicholas J. Pupino Sr. and the former Viola K. Tocco.
Nick worked as a benefits plans administrator at General Motors in Lordstown.
Nick is survived by his sons, Dr. Samuel (Holly) Pupino of Fairlawn and Marc Pupino of Austintown; and grandchildren, Alyssa, Nicole, Nicholas (Hana), Maria and Christina Pupino.
Nick was a son, a father, an uncle and a grandfather, but whoever Nick was perceived by, he was perceived with a smile.
Nick told jokes that have been passed from generation to generation, and was always exhilarated to talk about his family. Nick was a beam of light to every person who was blessed enough to cross his path.
In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in death by his wife, the former Marie Digiacomo, whom he married June 6, 1959, and who preceded him in death Oct. 2, 2025; sister, Carmel LaMarco; and brothers, James and Robert Pupino.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, at Holy Family Church for family. He will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, where he will spend eternity with his wife.
Arrangements are by Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel. Condolences can be sent to Nicholas’s family by visiting www.higgins-reardon.com.
