BOARDMAN - Maryann K. Pillin, 91, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, at Briarfield Place, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born May 28, 1933, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Johnson) Toman.

Maryann was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. Her professional journey included her work as an administrative assistant for Chicago Land Title in downtown Youngstown, followed by her role as an office manager at the Youngstown Club, where she had the joy of working alongside her sister, Joan.

She was a member of St. Christine Church, where she was very active, being a valued member of the Infant Guild and 1st Friday. Maryann's passion for social interactions led her to forge many lasting friendships throughout her life. Maryann also had a strong sense of creativity. Known for her skills as a great seamstress, she found fulfillment in her hobbies and interests. Ever the social butterfly, Maryann enjoyed traveling with family and friends and participating in her many card clubs.

Maryann is survived by her two daughters, Patti (Tom) Braydich of Fort Mill, SC, and Carrie Pillin of Gahanna, OH. She was adored by her grandchildren, Matthew (Rachel) Braydich, Katie (Kevin) Peaks, and Meghan (Jamie) Bright, and great-grandchildren, Ruthie-Kate, Carter, Isla, Grace-Piper, Parker, Carli Ann, Lucas, and Walker.

Maryann is now reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband, Carl Pillin, whom she married May 1, 1954 and died on February 25, 2001, her sister, Joan McIntosh and brother-in-law Bill McIntosh.

The family would like to thank Ed and Diane Reese, the staffs at The Inn at Ironwood, Briarfield Manor and most recently at Briarfield Place. We also want to thank Akeso Health Care of Canfield Ohio.
