NORTH JACKSON — Marvin James Moore Sr., 88, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born Aug. 14, 1937, in Warren, he was the son of James Moore and Leta Hoagland Moore Conklin.Marvin proudly graduated from Jackson-Milton High School, served in the U.S. Air Force and later earned his electrician degree in California.
He worked for the Pacific Railroad, then continued his career at General Motors in Lordstown as an electrician, retiring after 30 years, though his greatest joy was farm life — his tractors, the land, his horses and time with family. In retirement, Marvin and his wife Judy found adventure with the L.D.M.A., gold mining and making memories across the country with making new friends.
Marvin married his beloved wife, Judith, on July 25, 1959, and she preceded him in death Sept. 21, 2024; they are now reunited in heaven with joy.
He is survived by four children, Marve Moore of Alaska, Kyla Moore of North Jackson, Brenda (Mike) Schobel of Florida and Eldora (Tim) McAdams of Colorado; three siblings, Margie Burnett, Wanda Hupp and James Moore; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
