Marta L. Colbert

YOUNGSTOWN - Marta Lynn Colbert, 78, died July 2, 2025 at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by her family.

Marta, affectionately known as Marty, was born April 16, 1947, in Camden, NJ, the daughter of James J. and Margaret Finley Eaton Sr.

She worked as a nurse's aid for several nursing homes and cared for people in their homes.

Marty loved her family and the time spent together. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping and doing diamond art.

She is survived by her daughters, Delores DiGiacomo of Niles and Rhonda (Matthew) McIntire of Coitsville; son, David (Tammy) Colbert, Jr. of Youngstown; sisters, Patricia (George) Hibbs of Austintown and Nina (Dominic) Piccolo of Orlando, Fla., brother, James J. Eaton Jr. of Youngstown; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Marty was preceded in death by her parents and husband, David Colbert, whom she married March 10, 1973 and died Sept. 26, 2017.

Private family services have taken place per Marty's wishes.

Professional arrangements were handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
