Canfield . . . . . . . .Memorial Services will be Sunday at 3:00 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Mrs. Margaret Edna Edwards of Canfield age 85, who died Saturday afternoon at Salem Community Hospital. Margaret was born March 17, 1919 in Youngstown a daughter of F. Allen and Margaret S. Lytle Hoover .
She was a graduate of Boardman High School , a member of the Cara-Club which was a service club and was a volunteer at the Park Vista Retirement Center and was an avid bridge player.
Margaret was married to John W. Edwards whom she married April 9, 1938 and died March 28, 2001.
She leaves her daughter Diane George Playforth of Ellsworth, 3 sons John J. of Salem, Harry L. of Port Clinton and Theodore of Salem ; 2 sisters Katherin EdwinThompson of Canfield and Dorothy Joe Courtney of Boardman; 4 granddaughters Georgia Mark Wilson, Beverly Mike Suess, Peggy Mark Brucoli and BeckyBrian Snyder; 12 Great-grandchildren, Justin, Alex, Parker, Eddie, Jake, Payton, Paige, Nolan, Ben, Sam, Maggie and Reese.
She was preceded in death by her husband and 2 sisters Harriet Slagle and Virginia Hoover and a brother Harry Hoover.
Friends may call from from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
