WESTLAKE — Lois Ann Kotick Testa, 86, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024, with her daughters by her side at St. John Medical Center in Westlake, where she moved from Youngstown in 2019 following the passing of her husband.
Lois was born May 24, 1938, in Youngstown, to Emma Hacker Kotick and Michael Kotick.She was a 1956 graduate of The Rayen School.
Lois was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother in addition to being a homemaker. She was an accomplished artist and designer, excelling in china painting, interior design and fashion. Together with her husband, Robert, they built a successful business in architecture and design in addition to his teaching career in Austintown.
She leaves two daughters, Diana (Dennis) Cassidy of Bermuda and Terie (Shokri) Wahib of Westlake; her grandchildren, Amanda (Shannon) Cassidy-Baras and Tara Cassidy of Bermuda, and Elijah and Sophia Wahib of Westlake; and great-grandchildren, Nathan, Ryleigh and Charleigh Cassidy-Baras of Bermuda; a brother, Richard (Judy) of Akron; a sister, Linda (David) Kempston of LaJolla, California and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to cherish her memory.
Lois will always be remembered for her beauty, her kind and gentle nature and welcoming hospitality.Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Testa, whom she married on July 27, 1957; a daughter, Laura Testa; her parents; a sister, Beverly Vitelli; and a brother, Ronald Kotick.
A service to celebrate the life of Lois Ann Testa will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 19, at the gazebo in Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave. in Mill Creek Park. Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
In view of Lois’ love for nature and flowers, all are encouraged to wear beautiful colors and florals.
