Louisiana -- Service for Lisa Renee Burns Phillips, 31 will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004 at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Pineville, La. Lisa instantly died Saturday evening in a head on collision with a drunk driver in Winnfield, La. Her eight year old daughter, Taylor remains in stable condition at a local children's hospital in Alexandria. Lisa was born March 12, 1972 and was a native of Alexandria, Louisiana, and resided in Natchitoches, La. She formally lived on Portland Ave. in Youngstown and attended West Elementary School. She moved back to Louisiana and was a graduate of Bolton High School in 1990. Lisa was a member of the Louisiana Army National Guard. Her active duties included Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Project Jaquar Honduras, the Olympics in Atlanta, GA, and Operation Enduring Freedom. Her current occupation was a media sales account executive. She was an active member of the Victory Church, Assembly of God, in Natchitoches, La. Pastor Stanley Clemmons from Victory Church will be officiating the service and the burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Pineville, La. Military graveside service will be held by the personnel of Louisiana Army National Guard 199th leadership Regiment Camp Cook, who will also be pallbearers. Lisa was preceded in death by her younger brother, Jason "J.R." Robert Burns; maternal grandfather, Herbert Hall; and first cousins, Officer Jeremy Carruth of LA, Elvis Vaughn of LA , and Renee Romito of Austintown, OH. She leaves her husband, Jason Phillips and three children, Zachary Paul Burns, 11, Taylor Nicole Simmons, 8 and Caleb Michael Simmons, 5. She is survived by her parents Jerald R. and Charlene Hall Burns of Carville, LA, three brothers, Jeff Burns and spouse Julie, Joe Burns and spouse Angela and Justin Burns; one sister, April Lynn Creech and spouse, Lane; paternal grandparents, Robert and Betty Burns of Estero, Florida, formally of Canfield: maternal grandmother, Anita Hall; Aunts and Uncles, Herbert "Donnie" and Candy Hall of Alexandria, Charles and Pat Carruth of Pineville, Craig and Vera Stokes of Boyce, Kevin Burns of Boardman, OH and Robin Burns Romito of Austintown, OH. She also leaves 5 nephews, 4 neices, 11 first cousins and 11 second cousins. Local arraingements by the HIGGINS-REARDON FUNERAL HOME - AUSTINTOWN CHAPEL
