Lewis Michael Kukura

Lewis Mike Kukura, better known to his family and friends as Mike, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, at the age of 80. He was born on July 29, 1946, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Louis and Anne Kukura. He graduated from Cardinal Mooney and went on to pursue a career in the Navy, where he developed a love for boxing. After being honorably discharged in 1971, he began working for Youngstown Sheet and Tube as a business manager.

Mike had a lifelong love of water and boating. In his younger years, he worked as a lifeguard. Whether he was on the water, having a drink with family and friends, or simply enjoying spending time with his dog, Beau, Mike found joy in living life to the fullest.

Mike is survived by his sister Janet Novotny and her husband James. He is predeceased by both his parents and his sister Lois Ference, along with her husband John.
