Laura Ann Overly-Ogles passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in Augusta, Georgia, surrounded by love. She leaves behind a family forever shaped by her devotion, strength, and generous spirit.
Born on November 22, 1956, in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of Wesley and Joyce Overly.
Laura was the devoted mother of three daughters, whom she raised with unwavering love, resilience, and grace. Being their mother was her greatest joy. She instilled in them the values of loyalty, perseverance, and compassion, lessons that will carry forward for generations. She warmly embraced her sons-in-law as her own.
She was also a loving grandmother to four cherished granddaughters who brought immense joy to her life. She delighted in their milestones and everyday moments and loved them with the same steady, unconditional presence that defined her as a mother.
Family was the center of Laura's world. As the oldest of five siblings, she naturally stepped into the role of protector and carried that responsibility with pride throughout her life. She adored her nieces and nephews and took sincere interest in their lives. She showed up, always, for graduations, weddings, and every celebration that mattered.
Exceptionally hardworking, Laura built her life through determination, grit, and quiet strength. What set her apart most was her ability to make others feel seen, valued, and deeply loved.
Her legacy is one of loyalty, selflessness, and love without limits.
Laura is survived by her three daughters: Christine (David Janci) Groves, Amanda (Robert) Weinberg, and Lauren (Ian Knutila) Groves; her four beloved grandchildren, Charlotte and Alexandra Weinberg, and Ava and Emma Janci; and her siblings, Lisa Overly, Douglas Overly, Brad (Mindy) Overly, and Jeffrey (Patty) Overly.
Calling hours will be held at Higgins- Reardon Funeral Home Boardman-Canfield Chapel, 3701 Starr's Centre Drive, Canfield, Ohio 44406 on Friday, March 6, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.
