CANFIELD - Julianne "Boo Boo" Dudash, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2026.
She was born on July 17, 1963, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Julius and Julia Eszenyi Tofil.
From the day she was born, Julianne was special: the baby of the family arriving six months after her Dad's passing. She was nicknamed "Boo Boo" by her aunt, and it became an endearing nickname that carried through her life. Later, her husband would lovingly call her Jules, and she truly was his gem. If a smile is worth a thousand words, Boo Boo's smile became her love language to all.
A 1981 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School, she sparkled on the football field as a majorette. After graduation, she continued to shine in the hospitality field which led her to the Youngstown Club. It was there that she was encouraged to enter the legal field, and begin her career as legal assistant for Attorney Anne Frederick Crawford. In that time, Julie also pursued a career in real estate and became an agent with Burgan Real Estate.
Continuing in the legal field, Julie then worked as a secretary for Judge Shirley Christian and a legal assistant with Reminger Law firm. At the time of her passing, she was most proud to have reached the level of Operational Specialist for the Federal Courts.
This kind, sweet, and generous woman radiated her vibrant light as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and friend. Being the baby of the family, she shared a special bond with her mother, Julia. Julie saw the passing of her three brothers and missed each of them dearly. In recent years, she enjoyed the time spent with her sisters on annual weekend trips. She and her husband Mike grew over the years not only in love, but also in close friendship. As the mother of Michael and Anna, you could not find a better example of devotion and love. Her children were the greatest joy and highlight of her life. She was elated to welcome her grandson Julius into their family and found such happiness in every moment shared with him. As an aunt, she doted on her nieces and nephews as her own. She cherished her time with her cat Dahlia and in the past with her beloved dogs Luther, Puppy, and Ronnie. It was easy to understand how many wonderful friends Julie acquired over the years with her warm, gentle, and personable ways. They all will remember her lovely smiles and her laughter that filled their moments together.
Julie leaves behind her beloved husband, Michael A. Dudash, whom she married on June 26, 1995; their two cherished children, Anna Catherine Dudash and Michael Alexander Dudash Jr.; a grandson, Julius Popowich; her devoted sisters, Eileen (Thomas) Stunkard and Suzanne (Thomas) Bata; in-laws John and Phyllis Widelski.
Julie was also preceded in death by her brothers, Donald, Julius, Frank, and David Tofil; her sisters-in-law Lori Tofil and Donna Vargo.
