AUSTINTOWN -Julia Elizabeth Naples, 98, previously of Youngstown, passed away after a long and beautiful life on Friday, June 27, 2025 at AustinWoods Care Facility in Austintown.
"Jay" as she was affectionately known, was born March 14, 1927 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Vincent and Angeline Yurak.
Julia married the love of her life, George L. Naples, on July 23, 1949 and together they shared 43 years of marriage and many wonderful memories. He preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 1992. Julia was a longtime member of St. Christine Church in Youngstown.
She is survived by her children, Nancy (Allen) Johnson of Howland, Susan (Michael) Walsh of Austintown and Elaine (Mark) Taylor of Boardman; grandchildren, Christopher (Gretchen) Walsh of Hilliard, Megan (Michael) Greenwalt of Youngstown, Timothy Walsh of Boardman, Julie (Caleb) Muhs of Omaha, Neb., Melissa (Philip) Garvy of Northbrook, Illinois and Paul Taylor of Fort Myers, Fla.; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, Julia was preceded in death by her sisters, Catherine Medovich and Angeline Bisciglia; her brothers, Vincent Yurak and James Yurak.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on July 11, 2025 at 11am at St. Christine Church, 3165 Schenley Ave ,Youngstown, with Fr. John Jerek officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to services from 10am -11am at the church. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
