Judith A. Brenner, 71, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Shepherd of the Valley in Boardman.
She was born July 12, 1953, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late John and Doris Stauffer McDonald.
A proud graduate of Western Reserve High School in 1971, Judy dedicated many years of her professional life as a financial counselor for the Youngstown Hospital Association. Her work was not just a job — it was a calling that showcased her commitment to helping others.
Outside of her career, Judy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. After a long day at work, she would change into her gardening clothes, ready to spend her evenings outdoors. She often reminisced fondly about those times spent with her grandfather, assisting him in tending to the cemetery grounds he lovingly cared for.
Judy had a vibrant spirit filled with love for animals, gardening and classic rock music. She could often be found cultivating her garden with care or enjoying a classic album that resonated with her soul. She remembered fondly the days of bowling, a hobby she enjoyed in her past, even teaching her husband to bowl.
Her life was a rich tapestry woven with the love of her family. Judith is survived by her devoted husband, Dennis J. Brenner Sr., whom she married Nov. 20, 1976. Together, they built a legacy of love that now includes their three children, Dennis J. (Tina Chaney) Brenner Jr. of Hubbard, Katherine Brenner of Boardman and Matthew (Amy) Brenner of Poland. The joy of her life was amplified by her four adoring grandchildren, Calista McCauley, Brooklynn Atwell, Liam Brenner and Tristan Cool, who brought her endless delight and pride. Judy is also survived by her four loving sisters, Peggy McNab, Sandra (Gary) Susko, Colleen Cooper and Patricia (Steve) Garthwaite, all of Poland.
Judith was also preceded in death by her dear brother, John McDonald; and her brother-in-law, George McNab.
Private services were held at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, 812 Youngstown Kingsville Road SE, P.O. Box 66, Vienna, OH 44473.
