EDINBURG - Prayers will be held Friday at 12:15 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at St. Dominic Church, for Joseph N. Lupo Sr., 83, who passed away Tuesday morning at Hospice House.
Joseph was born April 15, 1928, in Hillsville, Pa., a son of the late Jack and Jennie Onesti Lupo Sr.
Joseph worked in maintenance for Carbon Limestone for over 45 years. He was a member of St. Dominic Church. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joseph leaves his wife, the former Florence Brown, whom he married Sept. 2, 1950; his daughter, Jane Robert Metz of Poland; his son, Joseph Caroline Lupo Jr. of Edinburg; a brother, Jack JoAnn Lupo of Bessemer, Pa.; a nephew, Jack Robert Krista Lupo; five grandchildren, Christopher Melissa West, Matthew Suzy West, Alyssa, Nicole and Maria Lupo; and three great-grandchildren, Patrick West and Taylor and Madelyn West.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
