AUSTINTOWN - Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for John T. Mann Jr., 66, who died Thursday afternoon at the Hospice House.
John was born July 18, 1945, in Marion, the son of John T. and Julia Mullett Mann.
He moved to Austintown in 1970 and had worked at United Interiors and Roger Krepps Drywall.
A few words about John Mann - the man. John's proudest possessions were his family and friends. He had a big heart and always had huge hugs for all. John supported his community and would provide assistance to anyone, anywhere, anytime. He had a great sense of humor and was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
John is survived by his wife, the former Saundra J. Croyle, whom he married Nov. 3, 1978; a son, Bill Paige Davis of Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter, Fawn Chris Buck of Yucca Valley, Calif.; four grandchildren, Natalie Mann of Akron, Gabi Mann of Marion, Sydney Buck and Dillon Buck of Yucca Valley; a great-grandson, Clayton Kendall of Akron; a sister, Nita Warnie Conley of Virginia Beach, Va.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the charitable trust for John T. Mann Jr. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home to help with medical costs.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
