BOARDMAN - John S. Dobrindt III, passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 60, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born on November 13, 1965, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of John S. Dobrindt Jr., and the former, Beth Colgan.
He was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, class of 1985, and later owned his own construction business, Adamas. John also worked as a Maintenance Coordinator at Canfield Health Care.
John cherished moments spent with his loved ones. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enthusiasm for camping and fishing. He had a special fondness for his new red Corvette and had a genuine appreciation for all kinds of cars. He enjoyed gardening, home remodeling and gambling. As an avid football fan, John passionately supported the Miami Dolphins.
John is survived by his wife, Jacki Jones, whom he married on February 15, 2003; mother, Beth Colgan; sisters, Susan Dobrindt, of Canfield, and Sharon (Don) Wilcox, of Austintown; brother, Ken (Marcie) Dobrindt, of Lexington, SC; father in law and mother in law, Jack and Bernadette Jones, of Austintown; sister in law, Chris (Brad Anderson) Curry, of Youngstown; niece, Stephanie (Dana) Dobrindt; nephews, Colgan Knox, Brett Wilcox, Paul and Zachary Curry; and his beloved dog, Marley.
John was preceded in death by his father.
A funeral service will be celebrated at 5pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, 3701 Starrs Centre Drive, with calling hours preceding the service from 3 to 5pm.
John’s family would like to thank all of their family and friends for their enduring support during this difficult time, as well as Akeso Home Health and Cornerstone Caregiving for their love and support.
