Joann Colla passed away peacefully on Friday evening at the age of 93. She was born March 18, 1933 in Youngstown, Ohio
She was a proud graduate of East High School and began her career working in the offices at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. She later continued her working years with the Packaging Corporation of America. On April 14, 1954, she married Alfred Colla, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in love and devotion.
Joann's life was centered around her family, which was always her greatest priority. She found her greatest joy in bringing everyone together, especially for her beloved Sunday dinners, where her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
Her favorite time of year was Christmas Eve, when she hosted family for the cherished tradition of the Feast of the Seven Fishes. Joann's home was always open, welcoming not only family but anyone who needed a place to gather and feel at home.
She leaves behind her devoted daughters, Patty Loncar (Randy), Mary Jo Seidner, and Susan Morgione. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Lauren, Macy, Nicholas, Tori (Trent), Bobby, and Adrianna; her three cherished great-grandchildren, Trent, Willow, and Gianna; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Joann is now reunited with her beloved husband, Alfred; her sister, Delores; and her brother, Jim, who preceded her in death.
She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the love she shared so freely with all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 29th at 11:00am at the Basilica of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church,
followed by a Christian burial at Calvary Cemetery.
Professional arrangements are being handled by Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org, in Joann's name.
SALUTE!
