BOARDMAN - James Edward Ramm, 91, died peacefully on December 19, 2025, at Briarfield Place.
He was born on January 5, 1934, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Greg and Rosemary (Carroll) Ramm.
James was a 1952 graduate of Ursuline High School. He proudly graduated from The University of Notre Dame in 1956, where he earned a football scholarship and developed a lifelong love for the Fighting Irish.
James worked in sales for Procter & Gamble and Xerox. He then became Vice President of Connor’s Steel, a local secondary steel company, then furthered his career as a stockbroker. Ultimately, he and his wife Corinne opened CorRecruiting Services specializing in job placement for engineers.
A true sports enthusiast, Jim was an avid golfer who recorded two memorable hole-in-ones, one being on hole number 4 of the South Course at Mill Creek. He also loved to play cards, spending many hours playing various games but his favorite being Poker.
He was a devoted family man above all else. Papa loved his 4 grandchildren and truly felt privileged to always be there for them. He proudly supported all of his grandchildren, attending every Ohio University football game to cheer on his grandson and equally loving all his granddaughters' cheerleading, softball, dance, swimming, and ballet.
He was a good friend, making those around him welcome and comfortable. He will always be remembered by all as a true gentleman.
