AUSTINTOWN - Services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Four Mile Run Christian Church for Jack Raymond Scott age 76 of Austintown formerly of Stow who passed away Monday morning at Forum Northside Hospital.
Jack was born September 19, 1928, in Akron, Ohio, the son of Chester E. and Amy V. Young Scott.
A W.W.II Navy Veteran, Jack later worked at the James River Company as a truck driver for over 4 years retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Four Mile Run Christian Church, and was a member, and past chapter president of the S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. Barbershop Quartet Society.
Jack is survived by his wife the former Dalene J. Hemming whom he married August 2, 1979, three daughters, Dalene M. Scott, and Amy J. Scott both of Austintown, and Jaclyn R. Scott of Columbia, SC, five sisters, Eileen R. Treap of KY, Mary E. McKee, and Shirley A. McQuaid both of OH, Linda L. Jim Wickersham of CA, and Vada M. Don Snowberger of OH, four brothers, Walter G. Lovena Scott of TX, Eugene G. Scott, and William Sandy Scott both of Indiana, and George D. Verda Scott of Youngstown, two granddaughters, Jillian E. and Skylar M. Skurjunis.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Richard, and Thomas Scott.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and for one hour prior to services at the church Thursday morning at the church.
The family requests that material tributes take the form of donations to the church memorial fund.
