POLAND - Services will be Monday at 9:30 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel, and at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church for Isabelle C. Thompson age 94 of Poland who passed away Saturday morning at her home.
Isabelle was born October 21, 1910 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of John F. and Grace McHale Klein, coming to this area in 1931.
She had worked as a sales clerk for the former McKelvey's department store in Youngstown. Isabelle was a former member of St. Dominic Church, and a current member of Holy Family Church.
She was active in the Fifth Wheel of the Welcome Wagon, and had been a volunteer for the March of Dimes, and RSVP at South Side Hospital.
Her husband John R. Thompson whom she married November 5, 1935, died February 21, 1983.
She is survived by three daughters, Sally Eiermann of Geauga County, Ohio, Kathleen RaymondMoser of Leetonia, and Jeannine William Bell of Poland, two sons, John R. Thompson Jr. of Struthers, and James Marleen Thompson of Poland, a sister Grace Turek of Columbiana, eleven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a brother John Klein.
