Horace Alfred Martin

NEW SPRINGFIELD - Horace Alfred Martin, passed away on December 27, 2025, at the age of 67. 

He was born on February 9, 1958, in Ashtabula, Ohio, a son of Howard Martin and Hester Imojean Wiley. 

Horace worked as a concessionaire for Gaskill Concessions. 

Horace had a passion for the great outdoors. He found joy in hunting and had a talent for carving deer bones. His love for the wilderness extended to a genuine affinity for birds and animals.

He is survived by his brother, Randy Furbee; sister, Anne Martin; significant other, Nancy Gaskill; several nephews and nieces.

In addition to his parents, Horace was preceded in death by his brother, David Martin.  

A funeral service will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, 2726 Center Rd. He will be laid to rest in Poland Riverside Cemetery.
