Hilda M Schettino

Girard - Hilda M. Schettino, 84 of Girard, passed away early Sunday morning, May 10,2026 at her home. Hilda, more commonly known as "Tootsie" was born on August 5, 1941, the daughter of the late Louis and Hilda (Horeth) Schettino. Tootsie was a proud graduate of East High School, class of 1959. Tootsie retired from General Electric where she worked on the line. Tootsie was raised in the Catholic faith. She enjoyed reading and traveling on vacation to the ocean, but most importantly Tootsie enjoyed spending time with her family. Tootsie leaves three sons, Richard Regula and his wife Annette of Austintown, Scott Regula, and Michael Regula and his wife Lynn both of Girard, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Tootsie also leaves two sisters, Margie Schettino and her husband Mark Finkel, Roseann Jeswald and her husband Michael, both of Youngstown, as well as several nieces and nephews, whom she adored. Besides her parents, Louis and Hilda, Tootsie was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Russell and Mary Lou Dunlap, and one brother Louie Schettino Jr. Professional arrangements were entrusted to Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
