Helen Walker

BOARDMAN - Helen Walker, peacefully departed this life on December 24, 2024, at the age of 86.

Born on June 19, 1938, in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, to the late Harry and Helen Barchus Snedeker.

Helen was a proud graduate of Beaver Falls High School. She spent her professional years imparting her nurturing spirit in various roles, after her time at Armstrong Corp, then managing a pizza shop and finishing her career in a deli. Her culinary skills were matched only by her passion for cooking. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was walking in the park, capturing moments through photography, or enjoying her daily dose of the Food Channel.

An active member of the United Methodist Church, Helen devoted eight years to teaching Sunday School, enriching the lives of countless children and fostering a sense of community and faith.

Helen is survived by her loving daughter, Karen Walker of Boardman; two grandchildren, Irene and Andrew Walker; and many nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Walker, whom she married June 19, 1957 and passed away August 31, 2008; a daughter, Grace Chirico; a son, Gregory Walker; a sister, Grace Gruber; and three brothers, Harry, Raymond, and Donald Snedeker.

Private graveside services were held at Sylvania Hill Memorial Park in Rochester, PA.

Professional arrangements were handled by Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
