Glenn Rupert

June 15, 1922 — June 10, 2004

Poland--Glenn Vere Rupert passed away on June 10, 2004 at his home in Poland, Oh. He will be dearly missed by his son Timothy and wife Susan, son Thomas & wife Marsh, grandchildren Mrs. Michelle Rupert Nanna, and Michael, Rebecca, James and John Rupert. His wife, Mary Elinor Thomas Rupert, whom he married October 17, 1942, preceded him in death by six days.

Glenn was born on June 15, 1922 in Girty, Pa., son of Walter and Ethel Stubrick Rupert. His surviving siblings are Eleanor Christy of Elderton, Pa., Nevin Rupert of Elderton, Pa., and Leroy Rupert of Apollo, Pa.

Glenn graduated from Elderton High School in Elderton, Pa. Glenn was a W.W.II veteran with the 12th Armored Division.

After the war they lived briefly in Rochester, Pa., then Indiana, Pa. and settled in Penn Hills, Pa. for 40 years, where they were members of the Apostles Lutheran Church. They moved to Poland, Oh. in 2003, where they recently joined the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Robinson-Lytle Funeral Home in Indiana, Pa. Saturday, June 12th from 2-5 PM and Sunday, June 13th from 2-4 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 4 PM. Burial will be Monday, June 14th at 10 AM at Greenwood Cemetery in Indiana, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Forum Health Hospice at 8747 Squires Lane, Warren, Oh. 44483 or the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Poland, Oh.
