Florence A Conners

Florence Anne Connors, 85 years old, of Youngstown, Ohio peacefully passed away on July 22, 2026, after a brief illness. Born on February 17, 1941, to Anna and John Ledikno, she spent her younger years dedicated to dance and performed in many local recitals before settling into married life raising her children.

She was a proud graduate of Fitch High School and enjoyed a long career in hospitality, spending her final years before retirement, employed at the Upstairs Restaurant, where they treated her like family. Florence dedicated herself to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, spending her time attending their school and sporting events. She planned the family and holiday celebrations and spoiled her family with gifts. She spent much of her later years helping stray cats find shelter and food, walking outdoors, going to her gym and kept physically active until the last weeks of her life.

Florence is survived by her children, Christine Connors, Eve Anne (John) Washington and Garrett M. (Melanie) Connors and her grandchildren, Sarah Shumar, Michael (Gabby) Sabatino, Lonnie McQueen, Nicholas (Christina) McQueen, Jessica McQueen, Jessie McQueen, Garrett E. Connors, Alex Connors, Ryan Connors, Jaki Prusak and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Connors, and husband Garret C. Connors.

To honor Florence’s wishes, a private burial took place on July 27, 2026, at Resurrection Cemetery in Austintown, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a non-profit charity that rescues cats, Good Sams Helping Hands Rescue.
