Elaine Linert

Youngstown- Elaine Rose Linert, 81, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Hospice House surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on August 14, 1945, to her parents, James and Ethel Mae (Booth) Burns, in Youngstown, Ohio. She graduated from Fitch High School in 1963. Elaine married her husband, Stanley Linert, on May 8, 1965. Elaine was a homemaker, caring for her home and daughters. She loved playing cards and bingo and was a part of the senior citizens group at her local church.

Elaine is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Daniel) Petrello and Diane (Michael) Reedy, both of Youngstown; her sister, Kathleen (Daniel) Reagan of Diamond; her two brothers, Michael (Gennie) Burns of Great Falls, South Carolina, and Richard (Sandy) Burns of Austintown; and her two grandsons, Justin and Christopher Reedy. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Stanley Linert, who passed away on October 11, 2023. Her brother, Dan Burns; her grandson, Timothy Huntley; and both of her parents.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life of Elaine on Sunday, November 1st, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes in Austintown; 4303 Mahoning Ave, Youngstown, Ohio 44515. Calling hours will be from 10 am to 12 pm with funeral services at 12 pm.
