Poland - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Friday, June 5, 2026, at St. Nicholas Church for Donald J. "Roe" Rabosky, 77, of Poland who passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, April 24, 2026, at UPMC Jameson with his sister and brother-in-law at his bedside. Donald more commonly known as "Roe" by his friends, was born on February 7, 1949, in Alameda, California, the son of Arthur and Mary Agnes (Hassey) Rabosky. He and his family came to the area when "Roe" was a child and he was a graduate of Struthers High School, class of 1967. Don was an Iron Worker with the Iron Workers Union Local #207. He was a member of the Catholic faith and had attended St. Nicholas Church in Struthers and more recently was attending church at Holy Family Church. Donald was an avid trap shooter and was a member of the Mahoning Sportsmen's Club. Donald leaves his sister Shirl (Shirley) Smith and her husband Robert Sr. of Poland, one aunt, Eleanor Bernard of Boardman, as well as several nieces and nephews whom he adored, Robert Smith Jr. and his wife Jeannie and their daughter Lyndsey Smith of New Middletown, Shelly Stephens and her husband John and their daughter Kalli of Akron, Rick Smith of Poland and Randy Smith and his family of New Middletown. Besides his parents Donald was preceded in death by and infant brother Paul Rabosky. Following Donald's wishes there are not calling hours. Visitors may join the family in prayers at the mass at St. Nicholas Church followed by a luncheon in the basement fellowship hall at the church .
