AUSTINTOWN — Donald Martin Morgan Jr., lovingly known as “Duck,” died Friday, Dec. 26, 2025.
He was born June 25, 1951, in New Castle, Pa., a son of Donald Martin Morgan Sr. and the former Doreen Jones.
A 1969 graduate of Union High School, Donald continued his education at Edinboro University as an art major. He spent his career as a truss designer with Fagen in North Jackson, later known as Advantage Building Component.
Donald was the last remaining hippie on earth, embodying the spirit of love, peace and simple living. He had a passion for rock and roll, and he enjoyed biking, golfing and enjoying nature. He was great at drawing and was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved watching his two nieces grow and he cherished the companionship of his dogs throughout the years, with his last canine companion, Pepper, holding a special place in his heart.
He is survived by his mother, Doreen Morgan of Austintown; sister, Gayle (Woody) Tillery of Austintown; nieces, Jaclyn (Casey) Branham and Emily (Dave) Kline; great-nieces, Morgan Branham and Rylin Kline; and great-nephew, CJ Branham.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, Donald Martin Morgan Sr.
He will be laid to rest in Graceland Cemetery in New Castle, Pa.
Professional arrangements were handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
