Donald Bell. Sr

AUSTINTOWN - Services will be Thursday at 10:00 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Donald R. Bell, Sr. age 57 of Austintown, who passed away Monday at St. Elizabeth Health Center, after a long illness.
Donald was born October 16, 1947, in Youngstown, the son of James and Jane Wilson Bell. After graduating from East High School, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War as a POW Interrogator Sp. 5. He later worked in the steel industry for over 30 years before retiring from WCI Steel as a welder/press operator in 2001. During this time Don had also completed his studies at Youngstown State University earning his Real Estate License, Brokerage License, and his certification as a Licensed Appraiser, he had worked locally as an agent, before becoming the founder and owner of Don Bell Realty. He had also attended the Abundant Harvest Church in Austintown.
He is survived by his wife the former Helen E. Lockard whom he married December 13, 1970, two daughters, Sandra E. Bell and her fiance Christopher Hentzel of Austintown, and Cynthia D. and her husband Joseph Martin of Austintown, a son Donald R. Bell Jr., Austintown, two brothers, James Bell, Jr. of Boardman, and Richard and his wife Diana Bell of Austintown, a grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother John H. Bell.
Friends may call from 4 PM to 8 PM Wednesday and from 9 AM until the time of service Thursday morning at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
