Dianne C. Borzick

August 2, 1933 — July 26, 2025

North Lima, OH

NORTH LIMA - Dianne C. Borzick, 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at her residence in North Lima.

Born on August 2, 1933, in Youngstown, she was the daughter of Wayne Warner and Jennie Bartram Warner. Dianne graduated from Springfield Local High School 1951 and went on to attend cosmetology school, starting her career as a hairdresser.

She was small in stature, but had a very large personality! She spoke her mind, was strong, feisty and passionate about the people and things in her life. She was a perfectionist to the end!

Before getting married, she spent a lot of time at Geneva on the Lake with her family, riding motorcycles with her brother and enjoying the Canfield Fair. She loved traveling with friends and explored much of the country in the family RV. Her summer days were spent at the pool with family and friends.

She was an exceptional cook and baker. Her wedding soup, salad dressing, clothespin cookies, pies and homemade lemonade were everyone's favorites, but her chocolate fudge birthday cakes were legendary. She loved hosting holiday parties, picnics at The Farm and anything else that brought her family together. In her later years, she enjoyed being a nanny to several children, who called her 'Grammy"

In earlier years she devoted much of her time to Springfield Local Schools as a booster member, cafeteria manager and School Board Member. She continued to be an avid fan of the Tigers and even the day before her passing she was asking how the football team was looking this year. Her Saturday afternoons in the fall were spent watching or listening to YSU football games.

Dianne was also an avid bowler for more than 50 years and worked the polls for The Board of Elections.

It was sitting in front of a slot machine that always made her happy, even happier if she was winning!

But it was her grandchildren and great grandchildren that she enjoyed the most out of life. She never missed a football game, a soccer game, basketball game, cross country meet, track meet, lacrosse match or any school function that involved her loved ones. As the great grandchildren came along, she held them close just to study their faces as her eyesight declined.

Our grief is softened knowing that she is together again with our Dad, the love of her life.

Dianne's legacy continues through her family, including her daughters Raedine (Paul) Hulea and Rhonda (Michael) Black, and her son Drew (Sarah) Borzick. She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Kelsey, Gannon (Kelli), Kyle, Colin (Megan), Dresden, and Delaney, and will be remembered fondly as a great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Dianne is reunited in eternity with her late husband Paul A. Borzick, who passed away in 1991, as well as her daughter Shelly Borzick, sister Marlyn Ornstein, brother Bob Warner, and her parents.
