Dian McNab

June 30, 1936 — June 12, 2025

Poland, OH

POLAND - Dian Erhardt McNab, 88, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, in Poland, Ohio, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on June 30, 1936, in Youngstown, Ohio, to the late William "Billy" Vernon Erhardt Sr. and Thelma (Ellis) Erhardt. Dian graduated from Poland High School in 1954 and then ventured to the American Academy for Performing Arts in New York City to further her skills in the world of performing.

Her career blossomed during the 1960's and early 1970's, and at this time, she was using the name "Dian Hart." Dian graced the stages alongside legends like Bob Hope and George Burns. With an adventurous soul, she traveled the world on the USO Tour, bringing joy and laughter to those who served and were far from home. She was an artistic force and was known for her work with RCA Records and other distinguished labels. Her stories were rich with adventure and insight.

Dian's interests extended beyond the stage; she was also a passionate animal lover, with a special affection for horses. She belonged to the California Saddlebred community for several decades, as well as serving on the Charity Fair Horse Show committee. She cherished her most successful show horse, Sir Hot Shot, who was an Amateur Three-Gaited horse. During the later years of her showing career, she spent time with another horse, Ina Brown, whom she cherished deeply as well. Her love for these magnificent animals was a reflection of her larger-than-life personality.

She is mourned by her adoring family, including her niece Kathy Lockso of Poland, OH, her nephews Kenny (Leslie) Erhardt of Evergreen, CO, Billy Erhardt III of Palmetto, FL, and Eddy (Sharie) Erhardt Sr of Poland, OH, as well as her sister-in-law Katherine Weyer of Palmetto, FL. Dian treasured her beloved cousin Mimi Pivirotto and remains in the hearts of her Saddlebred community in California.

Dian joins her predeceased family in eternal rest, including her parents, her devoted husband Ronald McNab, her brother William Vernon Erhardt Jr., and cousin Arthur Pivirotto.
