Daniel F. Kloos

SALEM - Daniel F. Kloos, departed this life on September 10, 2026 with his loving family by his side, at the age of 54.

Born on February 2, 1972, in Youngstown, a son of the late Herman and Rebecca (St. Clair) Kloos.

Daniel was a 1990 graduate of South Range High School. He was a proud veteran, having served in both the United States Navy and the Army National Guard in Missouri and Ohio. During his service he was a part of two deployments in support of Operation Desert Storm. He also obtained a BS degree in aeronautical engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and pursued his MBA from Washington University while worked for the military aircraft division of Boeing in St. Louis, Missouri. He returned to Oho in 2000 holding positions in process engineering and manufacturing management where he received his six-sigma black belt certification. Dan made a lasting impact at ALBCO Foundry, where he became part owner.

He treasured the moments spent with his wife and children, finding joy in family gatherings and adventures. An avid runner and cyclist, Daniel embraced an active lifestyle.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Traci (McKenzie) Kloos, whom he married February 9, 1991; their two children, Emerson and Evalynn Kloos; his sister, Karen (Stuart) McDonald of Salem; his brother, David (Kris) Kloos of Melbourne, FL; and many cherished nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Rachel McKenzie of Salem.

Daniel was also preceded in death by his brother, Donald Kloos and father-in-law, Thomas McKenzie Sr.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Life Evangelism Center, located at 960 W. State Street, Salem, Ohio 44460, on Saturday September 19 th at 5:30pm, where family and friends will gather to honor the remarkable life Daniel led and the legacy he leaves behind.
